Man is full of trouble, the Bible tells us, like the raging sea. We have so many things to think about, so many concerns to deal with, so many bills to pay, so many people to deal with. Sometimes, it seems that life is nothing but trouble.
In Ecclesiastes, Koheleth (the Preacher) tells us that, in the end, it is about enjoying life with the wife whom we love, being thankful for today's food and drink, working at today's job, because tomorrow is not guaranteed to any man, much less the details of tomorrow. We spend so much of our lives planning for the future and worrying about the future, so let's enjoy today.
"There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God." Ecc. 2:24.
