Mondays remain so interesting in so many ways. We hate Mondays. We hate getting up and going back to work. We hate getting "back on the treadmill." Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But Mondays are also really great days. Monday is the start of a new week. Yes, I know that Sunday is "officially" the first day of the week, but let's be honest. Monday is the first day of the week for most people. Sometimes, this is annoying. But sometimes, it is really great. Why?
Because it's the first day. I can get everything going today. I can take care of my work. I can take care of my wife. I can clean up the things that need cleaning. I can look forward to good things to come this week. I can start over.
How odd we are. Some weeks, Mondays are terrible. Some weeks, Mondays are great.
But they are really always the same. It's just us who are different. It is about what we have eaten or how well we slept or how well our day went yesterday.
Ultimately Monday is just a day. It is a calendar trick of no significance at all. It's meaning is found within us. We decide how our Monday will be.
So, today, Monday is a good day. Today, Monday is the start of good things to come.
Next week, we will see.
